Drupal as a Research Data Collection Portal

In collaboration with the “Say Yes to Education” foundation, the Syracuse City School District is creating a system to deliver individualized learning plans for all teachers whose students are enrolled in this program.

This talk will cover the process of:
• Converting paper surveys into CCK content types
• Developing security roles for teachers, and program administrator
• Creation of security roles for data flow
• Use of the Rules module to help guide users around the site based on Security Roles
• Utilizing the Node Import module to take an existing data set and create pre-populated surveys for completing
• exporting the responses from 500+ teachers about 10,000+ students for processing
