Accommodations

The DrupalCamp WNY venue is directly across from Hyatt Regency Buffalo (reserve by Oct. 11 to get the $109+tax per night rate for “Drupal Association”) and a stone’s throw from Comfort Suites ($99+tax per night “Drupal Association” rate*), among many others.

*A guest has reported that this includes Wi-Fi and parking. There should be no issues booking this rate; the Comfort Suites manager to reference is Jennifer Taylor.

Buffalo lists one hostel, very nearby. It’s on a Joomla site, no less.

Rail, light rail, bus

Take AMTRAK to the downtown Buffalo (Exchange Street) AMTRAK station, then take NFTA Metro Rail north up Main Street to the Fountain Plaza Metro Rail station. MWX is a short walk south from there.

Metro Rail is fare-free above ground.

N.B., Main Street is off limits to automobiles wherever you see track.

Greyhound, Megabus, NFTA Metro Bus, and other transit lines terminate at the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center, at 181 Ellicott Street. MWX is a few blocks northwest from there.

Cycling

Some people ride in downtown Buffalo; it’s inspiring. Ride at your own risk. Watch those trackbeds, too.

Parking

On-street parking during weekday business hours is via pay stations, but ramps and lots are plentiful nearby.

Again, Main Street is off limits to automobiles wherever you see track.
